Kung Fu: The Legend Continues was a spin off to the 1972-1975 television series, Kung Fu. This series debuted in syndication for four seasons, from January 27, 1993 to January 1, 1997, and the show was broadcast in over 70 countries. The series was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since 1997, due to the show's popularity, reruns of the show were previously seen on TNT, and are still shown in Canada on CIIT-TV OMNI.11.

Like his grandfather and namesake from the original TV series, Kwai Chang Caine is a Shaolin priest. Caine was the head of a temple in Northern California, where his son Peter also lived and studied, until the Temple was destroyed in a fire caused by a renegade priest attempting a take over of the Shaolin. Han believed the priests would serve better as mercenaries. After the destruction of the temple, each believed the other had perished, and went on their separate ways; Caine wandered and traveled, much as his grandfather had, while Peter became a foster child, and then a police officer. The series begins when Caine comes to the city's Chinatown section, where Peter's precinct is, and they are reunited after being separated for 15 years.

This series is actually a spin-off series of the original series “Kung Fu”. The original series started in the year 1972 and ran till 1975. The series are based on a son and his father. David Carradine is the father and the son is Chris Potter. David Carradine is actually a shaolin monk and Chris potter is in police department who basically is a detective. Four seasons were aired after the continuation of the series. The production was started on the 27th of January, 1993. In the year 1997 the series came to an end on the 1st of January. The series had a very huge viewership and due to this the show was broadcasted over 70 countries. All of the filming of this series took place in Toronto and Ontario, Canada.

Kwai Chang Caine was the name of the father who was a Shaolin priest and he was head of a temple which was situated in Northern California. Caine son who was a detective also lived in the same temple and also studied there for his whole life. Caine’s temple was destroyed by another priest who was a traitor and he started a fire in his temple. The traitor wanted the priests to serve as mercenaries. After the destruction of the temple all of the priests left and went their own separate ways. Just like others Caine also starts to travel like his father used to do and as the time goes own Chris Potter becomes a police officer and starts serving. In the beginning of the series it is shown that Caine comes to live in the Chinatown of the city.

Kwai Chang Caine is the most important character in the whole series and he is the head of a temple and a very well known shaolin monk. He is a man who is very honorable, wise and he is a master in Kung Fu as well. As the series proceed it found that he is an extra ordinary man who has a very unique set of skills. He can do many unusual things which can be done by another normal human being.
