The DEAN MARTIN complete series on DVD is something that you will treasure for your entire life and even if you watch it regularly, you will like to return to the episodes once again some other day! The glorious and the popular history-making comedy show of the legendary host, comedian and singer Dean Martin knocked down almost all the contemporary comedy classics and survived for 9 seasons followed by the popular Celebrity Roast that stayed at the height of popularity for another decade.

This wonderful piece of comedy-variety show was digitally remastered into 29 volumes of DVDs and was sold by the name "Best of The Dean Martin Variety Show". A firm named Guthy-Renker sold the DVD collection through a website and via informercials. There was an underlying bitterness that showed up regarding the DVD collection of the show. NBC filled a lawsuit against Guthy-Renker on the basis of copyright infringement. The DVD collection included the footages of the show, the copyright of which were claimed to be held by NBC. This actually forced Guthy-Renker to withdraw the DVD set from the market and the sale of the collection was stopped indefinitely. The problem actually came out when NBC planned to release its own DVD set.

The lawsuit was settled in 2008 on January 2 and the firm Guthy-Renker once again started marketing the DVD collection through its website. There are two other pending lawsuits left but none of them were strong enough to effect the sale of the home video collection. Even the "Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" specials were not affected by any of the lawsuits. This series was also marketed by Guthy-Renker and large volumes of DVD collection were sold by the firm.

The 29 volumes of the original DVD set give the taste of the classic comedy show hosted by the Renaissance man- Dean Martin. The series ensures that everyone (those who were the live audiences and those who were not) can enjoy the timeless and priceless collection of the TV series that created a history by itself and can be termed as one of the greatest American television shows!
