Dean Martin in 1960's and 1970's

In 1965, Dean Martin launched a comic series of show which exploited him as a Lazy and carefree person in public. The name of the show was "The Dean Martin Show". He would hit someone with his remarks and would let the people laugh aloud. He would also give remarks on his fellow celebrities. This T. V show was a huge success to the career of Dean Martin and he let the people realize that he is really a born talented actor.

Dean Martin was famous for memorizing the whole script. He didn't just remember his own lines. The impression of the show was of a loose one and it used to depict quick-witted performance of Dean Martin and the cast. Sometimes during his show, Dean Martin would say something in Italian which would offend the Italian viewers and they would claim their offense through their mails, this let the T.V channel to stricken their censor policy. This show was in the Top Ten.

Dean Martin was a heavy drinker. He loved to drink. He loved to stay night at home with his wife and children. He loved to play golf and watch T. V. A series of four Matt Helm Superspy comedy adventures was starred and co-produced by Dean Martin and it was a success. Along with all this Dean martin was earning a good amount of money through sale of his music albums and he was getting more and more popular due to " The Dean Martin Show ". Moreover in golf he could earn money by selling golf balls with his own signatures.

Martin had done the last recording of "The Dean Martin Show" in 1974 and didn't do any of the recordings of the show afterwards. He recorded four albums in 10 years up to 1974.

In 1972 Martin divorced his second wife Jeanne and later on April 25, 1973 he married a 26 years old Catherine Hawn and divorced her on November 10, 1976. Martin made a public reconciliation with Jerry Lewis in 1976 in front of people on stage and audience erupted in cheers.
