SYNOPSIS


Ben Matlock is a Georgia bred, Harvard educated defense attorney. His fee is $250,000 but he's worth every cent of it as he defends his clients not only in Atlanta but all over the country. He is cantankerous and gruff and often uses colorful language, but beneath it all he has a heart of gold. He is assisted in his work by his daughters Charlene and Leanne (who are also attorneys) and his investigators Tyler Hudson, Conrad McMasters and Cliff Lewis, who happens to be the son of Ben's boyhood friend/rival Billy Lewis. Ben's girlfriend is associate D.A. Julie March and his contact on the Atlanta police is Lt. Bob Brooks.

Matlock

A long-running American TV legal drama, Matlock ran from 1986 to 1992. The title ‘hero’ was the kind of guy who identified the man or woman murderer and then always confronted them in a dramatic scene at the courthouse in the end. A renowned and very popular defence attorney, Matlock is rather expensive to hire but worth every single penny because he has solved and won every case for years. His resume is impressive.
 He studied Law at Harvard and had a long and efficient practise in Georgia so you can bet he knows what he is doing and each time you expect the client to be guilty you will find that the one on the stand is the real murderer and Matlock’s client is innocent.

 As he has a fairly strong sense of fashion, Matlock generally appears in court in a very elegant grey suit and drives the same Ford Crown Victoria for the nine seasons. He is quite a character that anyone will be fond of. He is never the grumpy kind of attorney who scares the pants off the clients but a smart and well-behaves representative of his category of intellectuals.

 There is one more thing about him: he loves hot dogs, though you might say he is the type of man who likes going to expensive restaurants exclusively. If you want to know more about the character, get the Matlock DVD or the Matlock Bluray and watch the interesting episodes in which the character never fails to solve the mysteries of complicated murders and catch the criminal. Blu-Ray is the format you need for high quality these days.
His life is not the main focus but you will find out interesting things about his style and habits as well as people he cares for. He tries several times throughout the series to get a nice relationship with a woman but he seems to fail most of the times. Actually, his work is much more important than the mushy things that women are fond of.

 Matlock and Jerry Stone, a private detective, prove to have some things in common in the end. One of them is the Ford which they both drive with much enjoyment and another is singing classic songs and lullabies.
