Nash Bridges
Nash Bridges is a very well known American police drama. The main character which is also the title hero, Nash Bridges, is captain of the San Francisco Police Department, working for a special investigation unit. He is now divorced after two failed marriages and has a daughter, Cassidy.
His partner who is also his best friend, Joe Dominguez, gets involved in some get-rich-quick scheme. The car they drive along the streets of San Francisco is a convertible Barracuda that Nash’s brother left the latter just before he went to Vietnam to fight in the war. Unfortunately the brother got hurt while he was piloting his plane and Nash seems to never be willing to part with the car. No one knows anything from him for some time but in the third season he reappears as Bobby Chase and, interestingly, gets caught in one of his brother’s cases.
Nash lives with his dad Nick, a retiree who has some form of dementia and is really hard to deal with. He has got kicked out of several nursing homes and his son has now to take care of him. At work he is helped by Evan Cortez, a technical expert who used to be a hippie and he has a third partner who is involved in a very stormy relationship. The series is very entertaining as there is more than police business in it. If you get the Nah Bridges DVD you will be able to savour more than police cases; a lot of relationship issues are dealt with throughout the series which makes it a fairly educational show. Partners strive to find a convenient way to work together, they struggle with their out of work relationships and family problems but in the end everything goes smoothly and the general atmosphere of the series is not exclusively dramatic but sometimes really fun and entertaining.
There are lots of thrilling adventures in each episode and those who are after a bit of suspense so you will never get bored while watching it. Get a Nash Bridges Bluray and start a cure of adventure, good jokes and a generally positive atmosphere that most episodes release.
